Metals Conservation Mid Career Level

Completion of the Institute’s introductory level Certificate Course (Metals Conservation) brings the restorer/conservator who wishes to further his/her studies, to the threshold of the mid-career, modular, short-course series. This series comprises seven 5-day training modules, each on a specialist topic that have particular relevance to actual studio practice. Each module may be regarded as a free standing course, complete in its own subject matter. Upon completion of such a module, successful participants are awarded a graded Module Certificate. Enrollment in a module does not rely on prior or subsequent participation in any other module in the series. The practices of professional restorers/conservators do however benefit markedly from the advanced course content of each module in the series.

Module 1: Electroplating in Conservation & Restoration 2 credits
