Introductory Level Certificate Course - Ceramics Conservation

This 4-week training programme reconciles a highly developed, state of the art conservation curriculum with the needs of the commercial restoration studio. The curriculum is largely practical in nature and covers restoration aspects such as examination and recording, cleaning, bonding, replacement of lost material (including tinted gap fills), expert abrasion, shaping and modelling, retouching and surface finishing. Secondary studio operations, including elements such as quoting, packaging and client relations are also examined.
