Need a conservator?

Are you a member of the public?
A layman, without standing in the field of conservation? Considering having your privately owned object or collectible repaired or conserved?

If so, you qualify for the subsidized and nominal R65,00 fee, excl VAT, extended to sessions of up to 20 minutes in duration.

These friendly and informal layman's sessions are available most Wednesdays and Thursdays, with two senior conservators standing ready to view your object, to comment knowledgeably and to advise on the possible courses of action.

In-studio, movable items?

Are you a practitioner?
Under this subject category, such practitioners may feel free to explore all enquiries related to moveable heritage, including technical support in respect to in-studio use of conservation materials and/or technology, client liaison, contractual guidance, treatment proposals etc. Two, senior and highly experienced conservation practitioners stand ready to expertly attend to your enquiry via either a 10-minute mini session (R65,00 excl VAT) or a regular, 20-minute session (R99,00 excl). Most Wednesdays and Thursdays extend suitable time slots.

Built Environment?

Built environment consultations?
Architects, engineers, quantity surveyors and facilities managers, whether as principal agents acting on behalf of clients or main contractors, or even organs of local and central government, will typically constitute the clients under this heading. Less occasionally, even the private conservation practitioner may resort here. If the subject matter concerns the architectural environment / built heritage domain, kindly book your Zoom session directly below.

A highly experienced conservation practitioner and relevant faculty jointly stand ready to furnish expert guidance in respect to this well-developed specialism. Most Wednesdays and Thursdays will extend a suitable time slot for such a 25-minute consultation, set at R225,00 (excl VAT).
